Plein Air Studies

While visiting Inverness, Nova Scotia, I had the opportunity to wander the beach on a cool windy day and took advantage of the time for some sketchbook work. The landscape was filled with texture, color and pattern. While I sat in the sand listening to the waves, it was fun to consider the ways I would like to translate these views onto large pieces of linoleum with intricate lines and cuts. I look forward to tacking this when I am back in the studio.
